MinervaXR Cast Β· coming soon to Meta Quest

Cast your Meta Quest to a browser. Free. No login required.

MinervaXR Cast puts what a headset wearer sees into a browser on your computer. There is no account to make on the headset or on the computer, nothing to pay, and nothing to install on the computer β€” the Hub is a web page. MinervaXR Cast is coming soon to the Meta Horizon Store.

  1. Get MinervaXR Cast on the headset β€” free, and coming soon to the Meta Horizon Store.
  2. Connect the headset to the same Wi-Fi as this computer.
  3. Open MinervaXR Cast, and open the Hub in this computer’s browser. The headset appears there by itself β€” nothing to type, no account, no sign-in.

Press Cast. The tile stays dark until the person wearing the headset accepts the screen-sharing message.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Casting a headset to a browser costs nothing, and there is no checkout anywhere in it. Teams that want the rest of the Hub can see the plans.

Do I need an account?

No β€” not on the headset and not on the computer. The browser gets its own private space the first time it opens the Hub and keeps it from then on.

Which headsets does it work with?

Meta Quest, through MinervaXR Cast, which is coming soon to the Meta Horizon Store. Minerva Pico headsets connect to the MinervaXR Hub desktop app.

Does the picture go through your servers?

No. Our server only helps the headset and the browser find each other; the picture travels between them, encrypted. Every hostname involved is on the Network & security page.
